In these these one-of-a-kind programs, comedian coaches work as visiting artist instructors to give youth from 9-17 years of age the tools and perspectives to better face the challenges life throws at them. Stand Up For Student Well-Being works to support youth by sharing resiliency strategies for stress & anxiety.

We are proud of our partnership with TDSB & welcome building relationships with more school boards!

Our Line-Up of Comedy

Stand-Up Comedy – This is the basic starting place where participants uncover their unique voice. This type of comedy program focuses on exploring self-expression through fun activities, exercises and guidance from our trained coaches to help each participant develop and perform their very first stand-up comedy routine. Participants learn valuable literacy and public speaking skills as they make their stand-up comedy debut!

Improv Comedy – This energetic, collaborative and fun type of comedy teaches important improv philosophies that translate into positive life skills, such as the “Yes And” approach. During the program participants have opportunities to perform in many different short-form improv scenes, and develop their unique sense of humour in a nurturing and collaborative environment.

Meme Comedy – Internet memes have helped us connect with each other, express ourselves, and get through a global pandemic. They’re also hilarious. This type of comedy program explores what exactly memes are, beyond a picture on a screen, what makes them work & how they spread. Classic meme templates are used to explain joke-writing principles and formulas that can be used in all areas of comedy writing. From political commentary to social commentary, and everything in between, this program can be applied to a wide variety of subject matter.

Creating kinder, playful, and trusting environments
